Training Administrative Coordinator, Commercial Learning & Development

SUMMARY

  • Partner and support the Commercial Organization through Commercial Learning and Development
  • In collaboration with the Meetings and Conventions department, provide content management (coordination, logistics and flow) and meeting management expertise to various departments within BioMarin that require meeting support.
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members to provide exceptional support for training and meeting execution

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general functional support to the Commercial Learning & Development Team.
  • Provide logistic and administrative support for on-site and off-site POAs and meetings, ad hoc meetings and multi-day training classes occurring throughout the calendar year. Examples of responsibilities include but are not limited to: building and formatting agendas, communicating with attendees, sending out mailings, coordinating speakers, meeting room set up and break down, catering, supplies, copying and mailings.  This list is subject to change and evolve based on the specific needs of the learning experience.  
  • Develop and coordinate all Executive Level meeting logistics and administration when required.
  • Work across functions and departments at BioMarin to integrate and synthesize meeting agenda topics and speakers’ Powerpoint presentations.
  • Creatively bring ideas and execution to training events and meetings to enhance the delivery of content.
  • Develop, process and facilitate SOWs, contracts and expenses for payment in a timely manner.  Work and follow-up with AP department to ensure accurate expense coding and timely payment.
  • Develop and maintain the Commercial Learning and Development portal with timely and current training information relevant to the end user.
  • Keep accurate and timely records of training attendance for all participants until the LMS is up and running.
  • Be responsible for the creation and distribution of the Commercial Learning and Development department newsletter.

  • Experience with corporate meeting coordination and management necessary
  • Experience in orphan diseases/biotech a plus
  • Training experience/coordination preferred
  • Professional presence; able to work with executive levels of the organization confidently
  • Excellent  written and oral communication skills
  • Expertise in Powerpoint presentation creation and integration
  • Expertise in managing large meeting content details
  • Expertise in working with event speakers concerning content
  • Creative problem solver

  • Bachelor’ degree preferred but not required
